3 book recommendations for mindset shifts
I’ve always found books to be one of the best tools for anyone on the journey of personal growth and personal development to explore these book recommendations. At different stages of my life, spending some time immersing myself into a book that’s intended to be transformative has always felt really powerful.
It’s like I’ve had the benefit of a one-to-one conversation with the author where they open up to me about all of their most profound insights. As with all advice, I say take what applies to you and leave what doesn’t, but the three books that I’ve mentioned here are ones that I have (and will) continue to refer back to at different stages in my life to help me overcome the challenges that I’m facing at that particular time.
1. Power of Dua
So this book has been so profound for me on so many levels. I was blessed to be an early reader as part of the launch squad for this book and I cannot begin to explain how the principles in this book allowed me to see my duas literally being answered in real-time! SubhanAllah it's actually really overwhelming to think about it.
It explores different facets of making dua from a lens that I genuinely never knew - but as well as deepening my connection with dua I really feel like it's strengthened my relationship with Allah (swt) too.
2. Atomic Habits:
A game-changer for anyone interested in productivity content. So I've read and re-read this book at different times in my life when I had different goals/objectives and I've found that it's benefitted me every time...so when it was about my business, my health, projects that I was working on, things I needed to do with my little one - it was never not relevant to me.
3. The Clear Quran:
I came across this book on recommendation of @mylittlealim on IG and it's actually been transformational subhanAllah...I didn't grow up with a strong Muslim community in my area and I'd never even heard of the word madrasa until I was in my 20s! Even though my family instilled good foundational principles of Islamic character in us, I feel like the learning about the nuances of Islam came much later for me....
Even though I've read the Quran so many times, this book is helping me to see and hear the words in a completely different way - it's made the authentic text so much more accessible to me...I haven't finished reading it, because it's one of those books you pick up as and when - but so far so good! Alhamdulillah
These books offer diverse perspectives on mindset shifts, from nurturing a growth mindset to building positive habits and achieving a state of present awareness.
I have so many more books that I’ve found to be so incredibly profound, but these are the main 3 that are front of mind at the moment. I would love to know some of your recommendations too!
With love, Maariya x
